En tout cas pas dans le montage que l’on connait. La raison est simple: cet outil promotionnel ultra informatif r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Mark Grossan<\/strong> comporte 90 secondes tir\u00e9es d’un documentaire du National Geographic<\/strong>… Sans l’autorisation des ayants-droit bien \u00e9videmment!<\/p>\n

The Shark<\/strong>s a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 1982 par le documentariste Nicolas Noxon<\/strong>. Narr\u00e9 par l’acteur Alexander Scourby<\/strong> (qui occupait le m\u00eame poste sur le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Sea Dreams<\/a> de Murray Lerner<\/strong>), il est l’un des programmes du National Geographic Society\u00a0 <\/em>le plus populaire au point de devenir un poids lourd de la vid\u00e9o \u00e0 partir de 1986 (en VHS et Laserdisc) ce qui donnera \u00e0 la compagnie p\u00e9troli\u00e8re Gulf Oil<\/em> (gros investisseur sur cette production) l’occasion de se faire quelques dollars dans l’histoire… D\u00e9sormais disponible en ligne, The Sharks<\/strong> vous permettra de profiter d’une s\u00e9quence \u00e9tonnante o\u00f9 Valerie Taylor<\/strong> exp\u00e9rimente sa combinaison anti-requin dans des eaux infest\u00e9es de petits squales.<\/p>\n

\"1-ron-04\"<\/a>Une s\u00e9quence qui rappelle furieusement la sc\u00e8ne de Night Capture<\/em> de Jaws 3D<\/strong> (la douce Bess Armstrong<\/strong> y porte une combinaison comparable) et qui serait tir\u00e9e d’un autre film du c\u00e9l\u00e8bre couple: Operation Shark Bite <\/strong>(sorti tardivement en 1982). Cet accessoire fera m\u00eame l’objet d’un livre de 64 pages The Great Shark Suit Experiment<\/strong> (1981) de Ron<\/strong> & Valerie Taylor<\/strong> que je n’ai pas lu (et que je ne compte pas lire). En tout cas, cet \u00e9l\u00e9ment va taper dans l’oeil d’ Alan Landsburg<\/strong> qui va l’incorporer dans le sc\u00e9nario de notre film pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9 (on en trouve des traces dans les premi\u00e8res versions)… Et puis, tant qu’\u00e0 faire, il va prendre une minute et trente secondes des s\u00e9quences mettant en sc\u00e8ne Val\u00e9rie<\/strong> et sa combinaison et les incorporer dans son propre documentaire Sharks don’t Die<\/strong>. L’histoire se r\u00e8glera logiquement devant les tribunaux au milieu des ann\u00e9es 80 et verra le producteur des Dents de la mer 3<\/strong> contraint de sortir son ch\u00e9quier comme le prouve ce rapport de juin 1986:<\/p>\n

\"rippervhs\"<\/a>\u00ab\u00a0National Geographic Society and WQED-TV settle copyright infringement action against Alan Landsburg Productions for unauthorized use of footage from \u00ab\u00a0The Sharks\u00a0\u00bb television program The 1981 special program \u00ab\u00a0The Sharks,\u00a0\u00bb co-produced by the National Geographic Society, was the most popular evening show ever broadcast on public television,according to the National Geographic. The society licensed the exclusive television and broadcast rights to the program to WQED-TV in Pittsburgh. In 1983, Alan Landsburg Productions, Inc., wthout authorization, used 90 seconds of the program in a commercial television <\/em>special \u00ab\u00a0Sharks Don’t Die: The Making of Jaws 3-D.\u00a0\u00bb MCA Television distributed \u00ab\u00a0Sharks Don’t Die\u00a0\u00bb to 98 ind pendent television stations. When the National Geographic and WQED sued Landsburg for copyright infringement, a Federal District Court in California initially ruled in August 1985 that if \u00ab\u00a0Sharks Don’t Die\u00a0\u00bb did, in fact, infringe the National Geographic’s copyright, and if the 98 television stations were defendants in the action, then Landsburg and MCA TV would be jointly and severally liable for 98 statutory damage awards. The National Geographic has announced that a settlement in the matter has been reached \u00ab\u00a0on the eve of trial;\u00a0\u00bb Landsburg admitted its unauthorized use of material from \u00ab\u00a0The Sharks\u00a0\u00bb and will pay an undisclosed amount of cash to the National Geographic<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0.
