The reason Jaws 3 was done in 3-d was beacause of Sea Dream. Here’s the history, which I learned about later. After I left Disney, I had an office at Mel Simons Productions. Simon had made an affiliation with Alan Landsburg, who explained that he had bought the rights to Jaws 3. Landsburg told me, « A number of my people went to see Sea Dream at Marineland. » Here we are with Jaws 3 and it connects with 3-D. At the time, I was doing Magic Journey, I was sent the first script of Jaws 3-D. Then my heart sank. I said  » I can’t really get involved in this ». They already have an art director. So I said « No thanks » . I think they did a whole bunch of shooting and had to redo it.

With Jaws 3-D, they had a devil of a time making the green screen compositing work in 3-D.

I heard about that. We used blue screen for Magic Journeys.
